What can you expect during your Afternoon Tea Experience?

Afternoon Tea is typically a set price for a selection of savories, sweets and scones that are lovingly made like tiny pieces of art. You'll always be offered tea with plenty of steaming hot water, and we will soon offer bubbles, wine and eventually a full bar. Would you like to see a menu?

Amy Dubin

INDIAN TEA EXPERT & HOST

Amy Dubin is the founder of Janam Tea, the first tea shop in the Western Hemisphere to focus on single-estate teas from India. She has traveled the world in search of the best teas and the best tea experiences and Indian tea just happens to be her favorite. She brings her expertise in event planning, marketing and business management to the fore as the curator and host of Afternoon Tea in the lovely parlor at Garfunkel's Speakeasy

CO-OWNER, GARFUNKEL'S

Tim Gashi is a native New Yorker and has been in the restaurant industry for nearly a decade, having helped launch popular neighborhood restaurants such as Prespa and Zana. He has devoted his life to developing standards of service and hospitality, by working under the direction of industry pioneers, such as, Pino Luongo of world-renowned Centolire, and Tony May of SD26. Under the guidance of his father, Belushi Gashi, a seasoned restaurateur with 45 years in the restaurant business responsible for the success of over 18 restaurants in New York City, Tim has accumulated years of experience in opening up, managing, and operating successful businesses.

CO-OWNER, GARFUNKEL'S

Valentino has been immersed in the field of hospitality management from a young age as a result of the close work associated with his family's investments. When his father, Martino Gjekaj, opened up Arte Ristorante in September of 1990, Valentino unknowingly began his career in the restaurant industry. His childhood was comprised of working his way up the ranks within the business - from washing dishes to bussing tables, and eventually managing all aspects of the business itself. His skills were further cultivated at restaurants, such as Zana, where he partnered with Tim Gashi and executed a successful twelve-year run.
